Week 2 of the Zombie Apocalypse

So House of Blades has been available on the Kindle store for over a week now, and it's ranked #3,779 out of all Kindle books for sale! Not only that, but I'm projected to hit two hundred sales any minute!

That's incredible to me, and it's all thanks to you guys.

I'm hard at work on Book 2, The Crimson Vault, since SOMEbody promised it would be out by August 10th. Some crazy, handsome madman with a penchant for setting unreasonable deadlines. But I'm doing all I can to keep promoting the first book and getting the word out everywhere.

And, apparently, so are you! I beg you, keep it up: leave a review on Amazon, plague your friends with references to House of Blades, post on Reddit, whisper into the ear of a moth so that he will spread the word to the Great Eagles. Any and all help is appreciated.

But again, I've been really happy with the book this week, especially considering how well it's done in the past 24 hours. You guys are the best! (Especially you, reading these words right now. Yes, you. Everybody else thinks they're the best, but I'm really talking to you, personally. You're welcome.)

So thanks again! And let me know in the comments: what's the weirdest--yet still possibly effective--thing you could do to promote a book on Kindle?

This is a comment for the sole purpose of being a comment. I've set my mind to reading archived posts in preperation for my third read-through of The Traveler's Gate trilogy and noticed there was not a comment here.

Effectively, I'm not only building a mental reference guide for Will Wight to be used in a new world order (of which you will be the word smith) BUT i'm also laying the foundation to become that one crazy fan who either posts on all the things under different aliases or reads silently from the shadows. Which will I be? Who knows!

Hi Will! Been listening to your books on Audible - searched for you on the google and found this site, as well as a really cool article by Garrett Petticrew. Anyway, I was wondering why your books were not in the library, and I guess that I know why. They are only digital, except for your kickstarter. Anyway - congrats on the success! I really enjoyed the first 2 books and am listening to the 3rd now. Cheers!

Congratulations on the success of House of Blades! It's exciting to see your hard work pay off with the book ranking so well and reaching close to 200 sales. I love your enthusiasm for Book 2 and appreciate the update on your progress towards the August 10th deadline. I'm definitely going to leave a review on Amazon and spread the word about House of Blades to my friends. Whispering to a moth for help with promotion sounds hilarious, but hey, if it works! Looking forward to hearing what crazy ideas others come up with to promote ebooks.
