No specific release date yet, so don't get too excited.
Just thought I'd update you as best I can, since the book is taking so much longer than I'd thought. As I promised in my last post (or the post before last?), I will definitely have all the writing and editing I can do finished before I leave for Germany in two weeks. So I'm still on track for that. That means the release will be shortly after that, depending on how quickly formatting, uploading, etc. takes. That's as close as I can predict it. These parallel novels get harder to write as I go along, because I have to make sure that every flashback and current story doesn't contradict anything I've said before, and also brings something unique and interesting to the table. It's a singular challenge, but I'm enjoying it! Restriction breeds creativity! As a side note, the flashback storyline almost took up most of the book this time. I was doing backstory for basically the entire crew of The Testament, and if I had continued according to my original outline, literally 100% of the book would have been taken up by backstory. I trimmed quite a bit, but there's still a lot going on in those chapters this time. So look forward to it! -Willl

Throw it all in there, Will. Don't care if it's 1,000 pages because these books are great. Just finished Shera's tale and can't wait for Calder's side of the story. Have fun in Germany and keep up the great work.

I have to strongly agree here. Keep it all! We love it. The more we have to read the better!

So, I am curious. How often do you find yourself about to contradict something you've already written? Also, are you planning any Easter eggs from travelers gate trilogy hidden in the book?

I'm not convinced Lucan is completely dead. It seems like some part of him may still be around.

Does this mean we will get deleted scenes?

I'm glad you cut some of the back story because I'm more interested in what's going on in the present then the past.

I think a good novel should be as focused as possible. The vast majority should follow the same period of time and a single character point of view.
