We know you need some more quarantine reads, so we're giving away the ebooks for House of Blades, The Crimson Vault, and City of Light from March 17th (today) through the 21st!

I really wish I had something new for you guys to read. If it makes you feel any better, I'm locked inside too.

Not just because of coronavirus. I was locking myself in this week to get word count done, but it was nice of the government to cooperate with my schedule.

Hey Will. Just wanted to thank you. I am 47 years old and have read well into the 1000,s of books. Stumbled upon the cradle series. For the first time in my life you made me do something I have never considered. I read the series. I took a three week hiatus. Then I went back and reread the entire series cover to cover. I read as slowly as I could just savoring each book. You have a gift. Thank you for sharing it. Stay corona free. Cant wait for the next book in the series.

I checked the books out, read the first book so far. Good stuff, thanks!

First impression: Oho, I see what you did there with the "Author of X" sequence. Funny.

Mid-book: See, now THIS is what a really imaginative magic system looks like! Hm, I wonder what the new crop of Dungeon Core novels would look like if we could get some meme cross-pollination going...

Concluding thoughts: There's only one thing about this book that bothers me - the central plot premise. Why go out of your way to take sacrifices from the provinces? The capital probably has a slum with plenty of desperate people. Just post a notice for volunteers downtown, and offer full support and education for a volunteer's family for ten years or so, you'd be drowning in applications. Or if you're feeling thrifty, use death-roll prisoners. The overlord is established as a pretty smart guy, he should see this.
Probably wouldn't be too hard to fix by specifying that the blood-tree-sacrifice-realm is an ass and has specific metaphysical requirements for sacrifices.

P.S: Can authors see what readers highlight? There was a few minor typos and stuff; I usually highlight those and hope the authors will notice.

I don't normally double comment on posts but I believe this to be of the utmost cosmic importance.

When...will...the...next...mailing list short stories come out?

Also, why did Simon follow a creepy guy talking to dolls and who just murdered to people in front of him, and starts spontaneously singing (and maybe dancing, can we get a *cough* *cough* book/short story on that Will? (Preferably called "Kai the Dancing Traveler)), into a place he cannot leave!

I still can't believe you came up with a plot that bizzare and still made it into one of the best reads ever.

Hey Will, just curious. Does amalgam have it’s own inherent magic system? Because so far we’ve seen magic/power from the territories, but nothing from the actual world. Is it the inherent power system that allows people to create territories and draw power from them? Or is there a completely untapped resource waiting for the TG characters to discover it?
