Hey just noticed something in Blackflame, I thought it was sort of funny. Could be intentional or not.

Excerpt:

"Eithan slammed into the ground a second later, face-first, kicking up a cloud of dust."

But Eithan slipped because it was raining. Wouldn't that be a cloud of Mud, technically? or Wave of Mud?

Perhaps it was due to the nature of the dirt surrounding the Blackflame trial, being constantly scorched etc...

Or maybe he was going too fast and went straight through the wet stuff down to the dry...

While Will may have worded it so it could SEEM like Eithan fell due to poor footing... Realistically, can you honestly believe someone who can sense every physical detail within an undetermined, but exceptionally large area, would fall because of a slippery rock? Or poor footing? Instead, look at the moment he fell... Lindon was having an intimate moment with Yerin... The one thing Eithan told them NOT to do. From my perspective, Eithan fell like that on purpose, specifically to break up that moment (As he could certainly hear and sense it going on from above), and did so in order to make it look inconspicuous.

My point being, Eithan said he fell because it was raining, but there was no mention of it being wet where Lindon and Yerin were, so it probably was just BS and where they were was still dry, hence the dust... lol, sorry if I got a little carried away.

In Soulsmith Eithan used an enforcement technique that makes his body fall slower. He knows what he's doing ; )

Actually why is it raining at all? It's a mountain in the middle of a desert. Does the red flower familiy just sprinkle water everywhere at night?

Using an RSS feed reader is great for this. I keep track of a few author sites this way in addition to regular news. Right now using Feedly.

Hey Will I don't know is this good place to post this but here are some questions
1.At the end of the cradle series are you intending for Lindon to be roughly as powerful as Ozriel was before his ascension.
2. What is the jade cycling technique of the path of the infinite sword (sword sage's and Yerin's path in case I miss remembered the name), and what is it like.
3. Are we going to see Wei Shi Kelsa (Lindon's sister) again before his return to the sacred valley, and if we're are you planing for her to appear in a book or in a short story.
next question may contain spoilers so I understand if it is left unanswered here
4. What type of iron body did the original blackflames (humans not dragons) use.

Off topic, I think Simon had a cameo in Andrew Rowe's, 'Sufficiently Advanced Magic'. I believe it's about a third of the way in. Could be wrong I guess.

In Unsouled you stated that Cradle is only an infant iteration. Does that mean that citizens of a normal power iteration will be born more powerful than Northstrider and Luminous Queen?

Cradle is the origins of the Abidan so it's not based on age. I believe it's based on the people of the iterations understanding of the greater universe.

Woah, there interesting marsupial! I'm seeing some negativity from you and I think you need to redirect your thought process a bit. While it is true that a lot of the comments here are clever, and in some make me laugh like I have gained a third lung, that does not decrease the quality of your comment in any way. In fact, I would judge that the truthfulness and honesty of your comment helps this blog post. Not only have you clearly stated the feeling of everyone who is a fan of Will Wight and the Cradle series, you have also given them a comment that is relatable to them. I'm not sure if you're being sardonic or not. If you're serious, then take another look at Will's post two posts prior to this one, titled Hey Look, T-Shirts!

The last line of that post is "I can't promise much, but I can promise you this: if I don't have another book out by August 21st, there will be a total eclipse of the sun."

He did not have another book out by August 21st, so he said here that he "failed" while linking to a page about the solar eclipse. It's just meant to be humorous.
