The Engineer Livestream Tonight!

This very evening--in about an hour, actually--I'll be doing my usual pre-release YouTube livestream for the release of The Last Horizon, Book 2: The Engineer.

Tonight, I plan to discuss the writing process for this series, The Captain, my plans for The Last Horizon series, your questions, the true meaning of Christmas, and the location of the antidote to the potion that crawls through your veins even now, transforming your every cell.

When The Captain came out a few months ago, I couldn't say too much about my writing process for it because you hadn't read the book. I would have sounded like a raving lunatic. Now that you have read the book (or don't mind spoilers and want to check in to see if this series is for you), I can rave like a lunatic about the story and you might understand me!

While there's some back-and-forth with the comments, so I can't guarantee exactly what we'll cover, I plan to talk about my general development deciding to write The Last Horizon, developing the series, and then writing The Captain and The Engineer.

Especially because, as many of you know, I started writing The Captain before Dreadgod but finished it just before Waybound. That was an interesting experience, and I'd like to share.

No author that I know of has ever done this and I would pay big bucks for it. Rewrite the ending of the last cradle book and have it end with lindon crossing over into a cliff hanger. There was this build up during cradle series about the adventure and battle going on outside of cradle and when we actually got there then it was like lindon made it here and lived happily ever after “the end”. I would love to have a whole book about the afterworld. I know you were probably tired of it but it was the best series I have ever read until the end. I was with you the whole time waiting for each book to be released. You’re still my favorite author either way but that would be amazing.

I love your books, but I especially love that you have the audiobooks for $1.99 via whispersync with the ebook. It's the only way I'm able to afford it. However, they don't have whispersync for "The Engineer." I was wondering if that will change?

Now that we're a little bit past the initial release of the Engineer, I'm curious as to how this series has been selling compared to Will's other works. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far, but it is very different in tone from his other works like Traveler's Gate and Cradle. Starting with a cast of already powerful individuals rather than growing with someone along their journey is a decidedly different feel to a story.

Well, today was the day. I held off on reading the final 2 hours of Reaper until a few hours ago. It’s been in my que for a long time, and couldn’t bring myself to be finished with the characters. Wow….what a great series!

Selfishly, I’d love more tales in that world, especially with Aethan, going to miss Travis’s voice depicting Aethan for sure haha.

Here’s hoping Will might surprise us with book 11 haha!

Read through first half of the Captain, will head back to that now.

Well, I have some good news for you my friend, there are two books after Reaper in the cradle series for you to enjoy: Dreadgod and Waybound.

As for his other series, the Engineer just dropped which is the sequel to The Captain.
