Not much to say this week.
Sales are still going strong; we'll crack 35,000 in a couple of days. I'm hard at work on The Traveler's Gate Chronicles and the pre-work on City of Light. I expect to have the first draft of CoL before the end of the year. The release date of the Chronicles almost entirely depends on whether Amazon will let me do it as a Serial. Also, how long the Serial takes to initially release...and if I can't do it as a Kindle Serial, I'll have to come up with another delivery mechanism. We'll see. In other news, I was recently killed and replaced by a sentient alligator who wears my skin like a rain jacket. Florida, am I right? It's been a pretty chill week. I'm mostly just truck truck trucking along. How's your week going?

Amazon uk doesn't appear to do serials for some odd reason. do you by any chance have the figures for your non US sales to work out if its a viable option.

I'm not sure if you are one person or two different people, Pat/Patrick, but I'll address you together.

Just finished Books 1 and 2 with my wife about 5 hours behind me. So awesome! I have read everyone from Bakker to Erikson and your books stand up no problem.

Will, really enjoyed both books. Great concepts and characterization. Couldn't wait for TCV to be released and it didn't disappoint. Looking forward to #3 and the chronicles.

First off, I have to tell you how much I enjoyed the first two books. Amazon recommended them and I grabbed the first one out of boredom, read it in two days, purchased the second and devoured that in another day and a half. Once I realized that book three wasn’t out yet, I despaired and did something I’ve never done before and immediately went back and reread both books from start to finish. Imagine my dismay when upon finishing them again 3 days later, book three still hadn’t been finished.

It's an honor to hear that, Dan! I know I loved a series when I can't immediately start another one afterwards, so I know exactly how you feel!

Will, awesome work and I can't believe how quick you turned the 2 nd book around, can't wait for the chronicles ( which should be 10 I.e for the houses) and can't wait for the 3 rd book. If it is half as good as the other two then thank you in advance.

I just finished both books. It is my humble opinion that these are going to be noticed soon by a wider audience and you will join Brandon Sanderson and the others in this generation's top-tier sci-fi/fantasy writers. Could be wrong but doubt it.

No doubt. These books won' sell in the tens of thousands, but hundreds os thousands. If translated into different languages, the skys the limit.

First books ever written, great start. Your imagination makes it a great and interesting read.

Honestly, Mailig, there's a lot wrong with these two books. I could sit back and rewrite them forever, making them a little better each time.

No Will. There's not a lot wrong. They rock. I'm 41 and have read everything and I already posted how much I love them. My wife is 33 and a "hot chick". Trust me when the hot chick contingent can't wait for your next book you're hitting home runs.

I finished reading both books and I got to say I finally found something on the level of Robert Jordan's writting, I am just stunned because even though english is not my language I read them in less than 5 days and I WANT MORE (like a book reading incarnation).

Mr. Wright, Can't tell you how much I've enjoyed your books! At the ripe old age of 54, I've read many thousands of books, and your writing is right up there with my favorite authors, Terry Prachett, Robert Jordens early work, and George RR Martin. You give new life to fantasy magic, and the story rocks.Your prose is nothing to sneeze at either.Iwould like to see the incarnations fleshed out though. How did they come to be, what motivates them, how long were they locked away? They are supposed to go mad after time, but Valin went crazy right away, why? And who did he think he was saving, and from what? And why do some, like the Enosh, want to free the incarnations? From what I can see, it has nothing ti do with saving the sacrafices, as was made clear when they killed Simon's father. There isn't enough political info to fill in the gaps.I'm sure you'r too busy wring your next work of art to answer my questions, but hope springs eternal. Toni

Thanks, Toni! I have answers to these questions, but I'd prefer to answer them in stories. Some of them might even be answered in the short stories I'm working on right now. The Valin backstory will definitely be answered in the Valinhall novella that I'd like to write at some point in the future.
