In a lot of ways, today's not really a great day for me to blog. For one thing, I'm definitely blogging tomorrow. We all know that.
For another thing, I'm very tired. The last couple of weeks have been exhausting for a lot of reasons. I got a bad cold or flu or something (not COVID, fortunately), and at the same time I fractured my foot again (maybe a curse, unfortunately), all while the Kickstarter was happening and I was trying to write. I'll tell you right now, I didn't get much writing done. As you've probably heard, our Kickstarter for the special editions of the first three books of Cradle was a resounding success, earning seventy-six times what we asked for. That's a lot. So before tomorrow's post, I just wanted to say thank you again! Honestly, the coolest part of this whole process has been seeing how much people love the books and how supportive you guys are. I never expected anybody other than me to care about my stories, so seeing you all so invested in Cradle injects human emotion right into my shriveled heart. Now I really hope you like the next book. -Will

I am glad you got to see a real, tangible expression of the love and respect your fandom has for you! I am relatively new to the "Willverse" but I am so happy to be a part of this group of fans and to be able to participate in your Kickstarter! It is well deserved, now go take care of yourself. Hah

I guess now we’ll see if Will has drained all his comedic stylings into constant blooper writing and Sanderson meme videos or whether the well is supremely deep despite the great foot rebellion (vol 2) and practicing writing one’s signature with arms (all 8 of them) and not wrists.

I literally tell everyone about your books. I loan out my physical copies all the time. They are on display at my house. But i also have the ebook and audio books so anytime i'm bored i can just pull it up on my phone or listen to it. You are not the only one entertained by your stories. My husband and I are both WILDLY entertained as are most people we let into our house!!!

You know the shiniest thing? We all love your books but the reason so many signed on, and for the top tier, is to support you. Most of us have your amazing books for a buck o' five. Our experience has been better than full price books. Your fans literally want to give you money to make up for that. You have lifetime loyalty - which means you can just do what you love, and write :)

Yes. This exactly! I got almost all of his books and audiobooks either for free or on crazy good sales and they've given me so much joy, how could I not back at the top tier?

This is 1000% the reason. I honestly feel like I cheated the world (but mostly Will) for finding something that has changed my life in such a beautiful way for probably a grand total of $100 prior to the Kickstarter. My experience with these stories is priceless to me. I feel like the very least I could do was show my support for the man who has brought such joy into the world.

Can I still buy a set of leather bound books? This is LITERALLY something I have wanted forever and had a financial situation I could not avoid. Can I get these in the future or did I miss the boat? Cause that would REALLY suck…..
