...
Woah.
What are the daggers made of? Looks like gold but that's impractical.

They're made of bronze, actually. In this setting, thanks to the magic system, weapons get stronger as they're used. So these are bronze daggers that have been handed down through a hundred generations of assassins.

So a hundred generations ago Indirial no longer had use for some daggers and gave them to some random ninjas and here we are...

I would expect an assassin, or whatever she is, to paint their blades flat black. And the color does look weird. Is that supposed to be bronze?

Also, I can't tell if she has a nimbus around her, or if there is something going on behind her. Either way, the background is distracting, and draws my eye away from her.

They are bronze, and that fact relates to the magic system.

Secretly, it's the character that draws your eye away from the background. The book actually follows the exploits of Purple Shadow, a sentient lighting effect with a heart of gold.

I think it's cool.

I was really happy with this one. Sea has a good cover too, but I'm waiting on final tweaks from the artist, so right now I'm sitting on a temp cover in case they don't get back to me before I have to upload.

I like the comments so far... in a world of magic and mystery, the improbability of golden daggers is what stands out.. Or maybe they've been worked with Magic? xD

Awesome cover art once again. Prop to dem artists.

You may remember that practicality has never been my primary goal in designing weapons. Azura, anyone?

That said, they ARE magic. So take that, practicality.

This is a new artist, though the same graphic designer did the layout, and I couldn't be happier.

Pretty sure that is gold, not bronze. Somebody get Will a periodic table of elements.

This is a bronze plate. Looks like gold. Someone get her a pair of glasses.

My periodic table says these knives are made out of Strontium. I think I may have done it wrong.

I'm color blind, so most of the above conversation means nothing to me! :)

Neat cover though. It'll be interesting to see how it displays in greyscale on my Kindle.

On the Kindle, it will actually correct your color blindness and let you see this cover in its glorious full range of colors.

Kindle: is there anything it CAN'T do?
