It's been two weeks since my meeting in Seattle, and it's been quiet on the blog front since then. I thought I'd catch you up on what's going on in my world.
Believe it or not, there's a lot. First of all, I did start recording the House of Blades audiobook last week. I don't know when it's going to be up, because I don't know how long the recording process will take, but I expect it out this summer. Also last week, I uploaded the City of Light paperback edition. However, Amazon hasn't quite merged the sites yet, so if you're interested in a physical copy of CoL, you can grab it from this link. Soon, I hope, it will be available on the normal CoL page. But I was hoping it would be up by now, so you see what blind hope gets you. I'm also working on getting the new House of Blades made into paperback. If you buy a physical copy of HoB right now, it's still the old version with the not-quite-as-interesting opening. So I'm trying to get that version updated. In the meantime, I've started working on my new series: Of Sea and Shadow.

In terms of genre, it'll be pretty similar to the Traveler's Gate Trilogy. Fantasy, with a fast pace and an emphasis on action. It will also teach you all you need to know about wrestling octopi, which I consider a pretty essential skill.

I believe that this next series will be awesome. I have to admit, the ending of CoL left me feeling a lack of conclusion, as if there was more to be told. I assume that was intentional in all respects, but still, it leaves me hoping this next series will finish up a bit more justly.

I'm definitely going to return to the Traveler's Gate universe, Hayden. The end of CoL just wrapped up that particular story arc. There's more.

You should really make a guide to writing great books. There are no books better than yours.

Thanks for the extraordinary vote of confidence! I think it may be presumptuous of me to write a "how-to" book after only three short novels, but I can promise you that I'll keep trying to improve myself with each book!

Sounds like a great read, even more so if it is similar to the Traveler's Gate Trilogy. And for some reason, Octopi makes me think of Octopon from the old, unfinished Pirates of Dark Water

I read all three of Will's books and in the city of light I thought he said that he was going to continue the series.(I'm using the kindle version though, don't know if it makes a difference) So I assume what he is writing now is a continuation.... But he said it is a new series, I'm so confused.
