I'm pretty sure I've made that pun before...
Anyway, Calder's first book--Of Sea and Shadow--is on sale for the next week for only one dollar! If you have friends and family who for some reason haven't read this book yet, make sure to badger them this week! It's only $0.99! If they don't have a dollar or can't read, though, leave them alone. No need to make them feel worse. -Will

Argh. Really Will? Agonizing suspense, a term you used to aptly describe how you would leave us while we patiently wait for dawn and darkness... So I've been checking the blog pretty much daily and then, finally, huzzah! An update! That doesn't mention a release date.. You're killing me here, time is at a crawl. I must have a date confirmed! "CONFIRMED!"

I've learned my lesson about "confirming" dates. If I say it and then miss it, people go crazy.

Badass, thanks Will. We only go crazy because your books are that dam good. I must have read crimson vault 10 times at least waiting for CoL. But the anticipation is half the fun... When it's not to long. I was reading through the blog, are you still planning to release the final pair of elder empire book's before the end of the year? 9/23/2015 10:28:51 am
Probably not, Ken, no. Not because I couldn't finish them before the end of the year, but because I've learned Thanksgiving through New Year's is the worst time to release a book.

Thanks Will, cheers for replying. Thought it seemed a bit soon, but I've seen you work miracles before. I'm not from the states, so thanksgiving doesn't really mean much to me, but it's good to have a reason to look foward to early next year. Also, I've recommended your books to all my mates, so know you have a small following in Rotorua, a small city in New Zealand. Which I'm pretty sure is like the edge of the world. So you're spanning the globe man, keep up the great work. Even if it takes a little longer than you think it will haha.

Everything I know about New Zealand I learned from the Lord of the Rings movies, so I pretty much know nothing. But that's awesome, man! I can't believe there are so many readers out there starving for new fantasy.

Will, with all due respect, this isn't even fair anymore. I'm stuck here reading "subpar litreture" because you are REALLY stretching the consept of " I'll release it in September"

"September" is a flexible concept. By September, I really meant "September-ish."

Take your time. I think I am about to start on Way of Kings/Words of Radiance again, so that should buy you some time :)

As and aside to your aside, I am not sure how I feel about the chapter a week concept. I think I may prefer having the whole story available at once. (Though I would definitely give it a try if it were offered.)

Hey, I actually hadn't seen this one! That's pretty cool! And you know I love me some light novels. It reminds me of a mix between Arifureta and the Slime one: http://gurotranslation.blogspot.com/p/ioduction.html

Sir, I just want to say that I await your books with the same if not more anticipation then I awaited books written by Goodkind, Brooks, Jordan and Sanderson. I literally cannot wait for more. There is not a word you have committed to this blog or a book that was not captivating. Keep up the good work and stay true to what you do.

Thanks, James! It's encouraging to take a few minutes off of writing and see that people actually want to read what I'm writing. That keeps me going, it really does.

I like others would like new novels as quickly as possible, but honestly, I like your writing style, the world, story, and characters whether we're talking House of Blades or Elder Empire.

Well, you know, I've essentially rushed all my books. I'm trying to make sure I release 2-3 books a year, because I know readers prefer regular releases (I certainly do), but as a result I could have spent a lot longer on each book.
