I like the sky octopus. Very spooky. And the character's still very assassin-esque without wearing monotone black, which is always a plus.

Nice cover and I also like it more than the original one, mainly because it is more like a landscape than a portrait. By the way any ETA on the next set of covers or/and the City of light audiobook.

This is a game changer. I figured Will would be at least a year or two behind on emails. I emailed Sanderson back in 2009 and I'm still waiting on the reply.

This is so cool, but I have a question - when you relaunch the Elder Empire series will those of us who bought the books the first time on kindle have to buy them again or will they be updated automatically ??

You'll be able to get the updates for free as long as Will uses the same product listing (I don't see why he wouldn't).

But!

It might not be automatic. This really depends on Amazon's algorithm. There's actually no button for Will to press that says "Send Update". All he can do is update the product in Amazon's servers and hope Amazon does their thing the right way.

With minor updates, Amazon usually won't send out automatic updates.

With major updates however (A certain critical percentage of content in the book has changed, causing Amazon's algorithm's to flag it as a major change) will cause Amazon to do *something*. This something usually comes in the form of an email saying that an updated version of a book you own is now available.

Unfortunately, that something won't be an automatic update unless you've gone to your "Manage your content and Devices" page on Amazon and clicked the little button that activates the ability to update.

At least this is how it worked last time I experimented with updates. KDP is infamous for having no instruction manual (Or outdated help pages) and working differently every time you try to do something.

TLDR; Yes updates are free, but they're not always automatic.

I haven't read the Elder Empire, but this cover has both a female character and tentacles in the same image.

If my experience is anything to go by, I know that this is my kind of book.
