More Audiobooks (and Holiday Stuff)!

I know I've been talking about this a lot lately, but uh...we've had a lot of audiobooks coming out lately.

Both City of Light and Blackflame are to be released very soon! The Cradle narrator, Travis Baldree, has been a joy to work with, and the audiobooks are coming out way faster than I could have hoped.

In the meantime, I hope you all had a great Brown Thursday, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, and that you're all hyped up for Lavender Tuesday tomorrow. I went camping and fried a bunch of turkey, then I went back to writing.

I'll be doing a short story for Christmas in a few weeks, too. I was thinking Traveler's Gate, but I know there are few Elder Empire or Cradle short stories (although it's been a while since I released a short story of any kind). Last year I did Santa's list, so I could do another cross-universe holiday thing again. I haven't decided. Always in motion is the future.

Let me know in the comments what sort of short story you'd prefer, and tell me how your Thanksgiving went!

I was going to settle for anything Cradle based as i'm only here today to bump some upvotes into 'Underlord Writing Progress' but this idea is neat!
Maybe a story about how Mercy got Suu as a present and totally kicked Harmony's ass with it...

Will, appreciate you asking about our thanksgiving festivities. Tried our first smoked turkey... Learned the family prefers smoked as well, seeing as there were no leftovers. Yup. We were fat dumb and happy.
A Christmas story of Simon testing a new creation by the Agnos family could encompass everything your looking for in a short. Either that or Fisher Gesha’s next soulsmithing project with her family after they’ve been raised to truegold, after Eithan interjects some ‘ideas’ of course.

3. I really want pre-valinhall valin stories, I loved the Tartarus story where we had him really as the Wanderer and not the Valinhall founder. And I want MOAR

Obviously underlord for Christmas and I second the short story on Lindon’s Family as it’s insinuated they are gonna be attacked by the sacred artist schools. It will be interesting to know if the people Lindon left home to save are actually still alive.

Underlord pleeeeease and anything Eithan really. Maybe a history that sheds more light on how he chose pure madra and progresses to the present day so we can know if he really is an underlord. In Soulsmith he successfully hid his advancement level to the very end of the book. And all through the series it is clear he is more than just a normal underlord. This is needed to determine whether he is a threat to national security so it is imperative you serve your country by writing this story.

For my Thanksgiving I huddled alone in my apartment with the single dish I was able to make for myself, taking shelter from the 8 degree F weather nearly a thousand miles away from anyone I could call family. Best Thanksgiving ever, thanks for asking Will!

Looks like you may have to find the time to write another chapter in the TGU because most everyone here seems to have lost interest in it, or at least shown greater interest in Cradle. Poor Simon and Leah, thier ship has suffered from entropy and sunk with all hands.

I’m really interested in sages. Maybe the story of how the sword sage got his sword? Or the Aurelius sage’s current plight? Or maybe a character deciding about whether to become a sage or shoot for Monarch? If all of that gives too much away, how about a story about dragons (especially before all the blackflames died out).

I think Simon should find a Christmas themed room in Valinhall and he has to fight through Christmas themed challenges (like the ghost of Christmas future who can see 2 seconds into the future, or a hoard of elf like creates with the ability to "make" crazy dangerous weapons that look like toys) all the while having no idea what is going on because they don't celebrate Christmas in his Universe

delighted to see that Blackflame has arrived in audiobook format in the UK - however, unlike previous audiobooks it hasnt been linked as an option to purchase in addition to the ebook (usually i have been able to add the audiobook to my kindle purchase). accordingly, i would need to either join audible or pay £20.03 for the audiobook (in the past, the audiobooks have been a modest £3-5 additional purchase to the kindle ebooks).

is this a new and exciting profitable venture...or perhaps an amazon glitch? I have become rather spoiled in being able to snap up the ebooks and audiobooks for their usually modest price, so perhaps your success has now meant we are going to be paying "top dollar" to access your material in future?

I am hoping the audiobook can be linked to the kindle library for "add-on" purchase as has been the case in the past, because I do rather enjoy the experience of listening to these tales (stops me speed-reading them!).

I see on the Audible site that it can take up to a month to enable the whisper sync option to the Kindle version. This is probably when the reduced price for people who have the book on Kindle kicks in. On the last audiobook release this took only a few days. Still waiting for Blackflame to be reduced in price.
