Happy New Year, ladies and gentlemen! Here's the deal: Gardens of Mist is finished, it's ready, and I'll be uploading it ASAP.
As usual, Amazon has to put the book up on their end after I upload it, which can take as much as a day. Based on how long it took them last time, I suspect Gardens of Mist will be available for sale late this afternoon or evening. That's a guess, though. Once I upload it, which will happen soon, it's all in Amazon's smooth, delicate hands. I'm sure you guys know the drill by this point: Gardens of Mist will show up if you search for it before it will show up on my Amazon page, so it will be available for sale hours before it officially shows up on my page. Once I get a link that works, I'll put it up here. But there are more of you than there are of me, so if you're able to buy a copy before I post a link on the blog, let me know! Send me an email or leave a comment with a link to the book, and I'll update as soon as I can. Hope you enjoy it, and Happy New Year's! I don't know about yours, but my 2013 was pretty fantastic. -Will

You know, I read most of these comments days before I respond, but somehow I missed this one. I'm saving this link.

I can't believe it, but yeah, it's up! I just bought a copy myself. I'm actually in the car, and I won't be able to make an official blog post until tonight, but the link above definitely works.

Happy New Year to you Will and to my fellow readers. I am very excited about the book. Anyone found a UK link?

If history is any indication, the UK link will go live a little after the US one. I have no idea why.

Hmm. I dug the asphodel story, felt like a good horror short story. I don't know if you've read it, but when i was a kid i read a short story about a Lottery, this gave off a similar vibe.

That would be Shirley Jackson's The Lottery, I would imagine. You know, I didn't intend the parallel, but I can absolutely see the connection now that you point it out. It is kind of similar, isn't it?

OK, just bought the second of the Traveler's Gate Chronicles "Garden's of Mist". It will probably take me a few days to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed your Winter Tower too, but am hoping that the early 2014 release date for the third book in your Traveler's Gate Trilogy "City of Light" is coming out soon...maybe?...please...

Your name's not highlighted in blue, and you didn't capitalize my initials or the first word of the sentence. I respect the attempt, though.

I really enjoyed it. I really liked Valins Story. I got a real sense of his personality and his curiosity and how he began to put items together to make the Valinhall artifacts. I would love to see just a story about him and his creations. Keep it up!

Thanks, Gary! This was something of a test run for me, writing Valin. I was hoping to get more of a sense for his voice as a character before I wrote his novel/novella, and I wanted to do so in a scene that wouldn't show up in a longer work. So we got this story, where I hopefully planted a few seeds that I can follow up on later.
