Halloween short stories!

As I indicated recently, I've been working on the three short stories I owe you. I intended to release one last week, one this week, and one on Halloween, but they all ended up Halloween-themed.

'Tis the season, I guess.

So...on Monday, if you're signed up for the short stories, expect some tricks and treats from me! Two of the stories are darker and creepier than my usual bent, so be aware of that if you can't handle mild ghost stories. If you're a big horror buff, on the other hand, don't get your hopes too high--I haven't strayed that far from my normal territory.

No matter what your tastes, though, you should all be fine with the Traveler's Gate story. It's about Simon out of his element in a holiday masquerade ball.

No, never. I only made this bargain as part of a pact with the Chronosages to ensure that Monday would never come.

It's close. Chronosage is actually the key spice used to season Chronosausages.

Woke up excited. For a Monday, that seems like an oxymoron, right?

Logged into my email to find...nada. zilch. nothing.

12:08pm and my email is still bereft of the promised short stories.

Is it really Monday, or am I stuck in some Groundhog-Day-like Cosmic Joke, determined to suck the life from my pathetic existence?

So, I'm in a dilemma. The people that are already signed up for the mailing list obviously want me to release the stories as early on Monday as possible. But if I do that, then I will INEVITABLY get people emailing me tomorrow like, "I signed up for your mailing list yesterday at 10 PM, why didn't I get the stories?"

Therefore, I typically send the stories out right before I go to bed on the day of. Simply so as many people as possible get the chance to sign up.

I release books the night before, because they'll go up for sale and stay there. Since short stories go out in one batch, I wait as long as I can.

Unfortunately, that means a whole day of impatient waiting for the stories.

If you could somehow slip the Pratchett concept of chronosausages into a book it would blow my mind.

I feel like it could be the next step up from Overlord in the Cradle series - Chronosausage-lord.

Or, even better, it could be an end talent for Simon. He completes a room and gets a chronosausage which has the ability to briefly control time immediately around him.

TGT is probably my favorite universe for short stories. It's just so suited for it, with all the different Territories.

Plus the main storyline has ended, so I can actually use the main characters without screwing up too much.

Go to bed already! If your on the east coast like you claim you are, it is almost 11 there right now. It's way to late for an Author to be up, especially one who has three series they are writing and an eager audience that is eagerly waiting on his books!
