Bloodline Tomorrow!

In case you've missed it somehow, Bloodline's coming out tomorrow!

Well, April 6th. And it's April 6th in some places very soon.

The paperback is up for pre-order in most places, but I guess not everywhere? I'm not sure, Amazon rollouts are weird. It's supposed to be up everywhere.

Tonight at 9 PM Eastern, I'll be doing another traditional release stream as I play some slow-paced game and answer questions. Check it out at <twitch.tv/willwight> if you're interested! If you're not interested, check anything else out instead.

And now, as is tradition for all releases, I get to stew in my nerves until the book comes out. Usually for a few days after, too. Let the emotional distress begin!

In Texas, we've still got another12 and a half hrs, and I have no doubt my father willl see the value of taking my kindle away so I can't stay up till 6 starting and finishing the book

I just started my reread a few days ago, so it'll still be another few days before I read Bloodline. I kind of did it on purpose, since I always hate finishing a book on its release date.

To answer your question, yes. Twitch records the stream and it's kept on his twitch page for at least a month. We typically download copies and piecemeal it into Words of Will later as well.

Will! I've been following you since Soulsmith was released and have adored every book you've put out. I believe I speak for the very vast majority of fans when I say I'm going to absolutely enjoy whatever you do in Bloodline and beyond. Hopefully this helps relieve a small amount of stress :)

Don't worry. Im sure we'll all hate it. Remember, you're only as good as your last endeavor. So what that it will probably fail and all your readers will go on to bigger and better books. You'll always have...that thing..you've always had.

Sorry that releases are stressful for you, personally I can't wait. So glad this week is my spring break, I've already re-read the series and now I just can't focus on anything till I get my hands on this book, sat down to try and write some code for a few hours and I think I wrote like 6 lines maybe. Pretty sure this book could start with all the past books being a fever dream of Lindon's after he was beaten with a spear in his foundation match and I'd still be pumped to see where it goes.

Okay so the book was supposed to be out several hours ago, but Amazon seems reluctant to let anyone have access. There's no preview\sample chapters option - as there is with most, nor is there a PBK version listed. If I weren't already aware that I'd likely need to wait a month or more because of personal stuff, that'd be really rather annoying!!! :-)

I might manifest an icon myself due to the void that fills me whenever I finish one of your books and realise the wait I now have to undergo. The bloopers are a great help as well as the funniest things that I've ever read. This time my favourite is the marble one, but my namesake is the best in the series.

Bloodline should be the last book of the Dreadgod arc. The next Cradle book should start a new story arc and if I guessed correctly, should be when things really start to heat up. As to what this story arc should be, there is already foreshadowing in Bloodline and I do not wish to put any spoilers here.

When did mercy become an overlord? Wasn't she still a underlord at the end of wintersteel?

It isn't specifically stated, since most of Mercy's training isn't covered in WinterSteel.

There is one scene though where Fury is speaking to mercy before one of her battles.

"I will be proud to care for you as a mighty Overlady and one of the Uncrowned..." Page 300

Wasn't that said to Sophara?
Part of the reason Mercy lost to Sophara was she wasn't able to fully master the Overlady technique of her book because she wasn't a full Overlady.

Will, another amazing book. I feel like it is infected with hunger madea though because I have already finished it and... Well... I need more! That ending! That middle! That beginning! Your series may well be crack. I've been a huge fan since unsoiled and I just never can get enough. This might even be my favorite yet. No wonder writing this series drains you so much. When you infect your reader with hunger madea that has got to be an anticipated effect.

Is there a timeline or something somewhere to keep track of how much time has lapsed since Lindon left sacred valley? Not really feeling like reading through entire series from scratch again to put together a chronology in my head.

So I downloaded Unsouled on Audible about a month ago. It was a whim, it looked interesting, and with my Audible subscription I didn't need to wait until my next round of credits. Fast forward 1 month and I've listened to the first 8 books twice and just finished 9. Now, of course, is the fun part, waiting obsessively for book 10. Dang it Will Wight, how dare you get me hooked.

Will... AMAZING! I would contend this is the best one yet, easily right up there with Ghostwater and Underlord as one of my favorites. Most of us love action scenes and you certainly delivered! Keep it up, excellent work!!!

NO SPOILERS HERE..... but Will, definitely your most action packed book yet. And your ending.................. not to be TOO dorky, but my Hunger is now insatiable. WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! Now I have to wait for the next book again..... :) You are an evil, maniacal creature Will. You torture me with your fast paced writing. You have RUINED me to other authors. My patience has been smashed and my expectations for a book have been heightened to an unrealistic level. I always used to have a hard time finding a new author and new books to read, but you have single handedly made that mountain taller to me. Pure. Evil. MMMMMWAAAAHHHAAAHAHA. (I LOVE it!)

I haven't decided if this is my FAVORITE of your Cradle series or the one I don't like. It was awesome. I read it too quick. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. By far (to me) the most directed and focused of this series. Almost a blink in time, but so much happened in the book. Time to bide my time re-reading your series for like the 15th time. Thanks for the books Will and I can't wait for your next one.

Binged read it of course, and fell asleep with the title of the next book ringing in my head before I looked up and realized that it was death himself whispering in my ear. He said my time was up, and I told him bloodline was out so he ducked out to read it. So bloodline legit saved my life. (For however long it takes him to read it)

I think it's starting to get silly that no one in the books, Lindon included, has wondered or mentioned what makes Lindon immune to the spiritual instability they prevents every other artist (dreadgod cults included) from advancing so fast.
Whether it's Suriels marble or 16 years at foundation stage or his cycling technique or his Wheaties for breakfast....
Doesn't matter, really, except I think Lindon should have a chat with Eithan.

Oh, I don't command you after all? Darn.

I need more!!! This book wasn't what I was expecting, but what I needed. I was hoping to see a full display of Lindons full display of power unhindered, but non the less he was still OP! Loved it! But the ending....My hunger is insatiable. I can't wait for the next book!!! I excited to see when this story will lead and if we can expect to see books that will continue on as he progresses as an abidan possibly?!

I'm not sure what to think of this one. I definitely enjoyed it, but I doubt I will read it multiple times like I've done with a few others in the series.

Underlord exceeded all expectations.
Uncrowded left me felling disappointed.
Wintersteel blew my mind and actually helped me appreciate uncrowded slightly more.
Bloodline gives me a neutral feeling.

It's definitely bittersweet. I like it because it's essentially a confirmation of things I've been suspecting all along. Every time Lindon had a flash of a thought of "if I went back to Sacred Valley now, they would ________" I've thought "but they wouldn't accept you because you're not on the Path of the White Fox, and because you're different from them and they hate difference". And, well.... yeah, he went back home and inevitably, the fact that he's different caused him problems. Frankly, he would've gotten better results if he'd found his family and then stayed at Fallen Leaf, sending the Golds with the flashiest Goldsigns out to force evacuations in the name of the Sage of Twin Stars.

Was wondering more that book 9 is out if there’s any intention of releasing the omnibus versions as hard copies? I would actually like to have these on my shelf, but I would rather get the collections than the individual books.

The series two short. I’m here to support Will, but I wish I had found you after the books were done. Bloodline was fantastic, and honest to god, no pressure... but I need an injection of the next book soon. That said, take your time and write the book as it’s meant to be not as if you’re already behind.

I just binged all 9 books in this series [im a truck driver its allowed) in 8 days. (Thank you audible for again costing me sleep and making driving for 8 to 11 hours at a time tolerable) books are amazing. Honestly I didnt expect much from a series Amazon had all 9 books for free and all nine audible books for 2ish bucks a piece but I was astonished. I love the characters and the story and I promise to pay full price from now on [unless I see another deal] its Amazon's fault I take no responsibility. Thanks for an enjoyable week cant wait till the next book comes out. Oh and I saw on one of your other posts about you neckish back problem deal with that you dont want to end up like me. It only get worse if you let that continue. *squirrel*

Of all the books in the cradle series I think bloodline is my least favorite. The whole thing happened in a rush, the MC's didn't really have the time to get into their new powers, I bet they'll be rushing to advance in the next book as well considering.......

I hope the next book slows down and take care of details ( Family, sect, new powers etc) before they dive face first into the next adventure.

Dross is going to become a "Presence" like the Abidans have , perhaps even extend to the others... You heard it here first!
