Big Announcement!

Many of you have been waiting for the big announcement I’ve been teasing for today, and now I’m thrilled to announce: I have Hamilton tickets for tonight!

I knew you’d be excited!

I’ve never liked musicals, but that’s only because they usually stop the story dead for the musical numbers. Don’t give me music, give me story.

But my sister’s been obsessed with the Hamilton soundtrack for over a year now, so when she finally tied me down and forced it into my ears, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s, you know, awesome.

It’s won so many awards that I knew it would be a top-notch production, but I had no idea how great the storytelling would be.

So when I found out there was a Hamilton showing coming to Orlando in February, I immediately booked tickets! And tonight, the time has finally come!

I’m especially looking forward to it because there’s a lot of story information that the soundtrack alone doesn’t give you, so I can’t wait to get the full picture.

And I knew you guys would be excited on my behalf!

It’s amazing. Worth it. Would advise looking up lyrics before viewing, hard to understand a lot of it.

Tickers to Hamilton? That is genuinely awesome! Release dates for books are insignificant compared to that.

P.S. It's cool how you make the Underlord release date look so unimportant compared to the tickets, but after such a long wait I think we all deserve an excerpt of Underlord, like with Ghostwater.

Will you are awesome. Thank you for being an incredibly fast writer, and caring so much about your fans. Unfortunately I will read Underlord in one sitting, amd then I will have to wait for the next one. But I know I won't have to wait years upon years for your next book.

I feel like this has become an an abusive relationship and yet I still can’t walk away. You keep lying to me, stringing me along, and telling me things will be different this time..even though the signs are glaringly present for everyone to see I’ve held on to the delusions of promises made past and apologies seemingly so sincere....but no. I realize now they are empty words given by a cruel (clever/devious/brilliant) soul with no intention of giving what I want, what I need...still I hope

Yeah, I agree on the abusive. I get trying to create hype, but posting a two week countdown to.....telling us it's going to be another 3 weeks....is more irritating than informative. Sure I'll still buy the book, but I'm not going to be buying it the release week. That much lead time I'll be in the middle of reading something else. *shrug*...while I enjoy the books, re-reading also unfortunately means that the various typos and mistakes become far more noticeable.

Eh, it's probably a case of he was pushing to try to get it ready to release on March 1 but wasn't really sure, but now that it's three weeks to the date he was aiming for he can reliably say it will take three more weeks to get it done and out. He could very well have been trying to release Underlord by today, and failed.

I believe there is a mailing list you can sign up for that will notify you when new books come out. If you sign up for that you will not have to refresh the blog on the regular and be 'abused'

Actually, the reason he announced it, but didn't release it, is because it's also available for pre-order now too as a test of the pre-order system. And so that everyone gets it right away on release day. So no worries, you can buy it that way if you prefer, and you'll receive it asap on release.

I mean, some authors make big announcements for release dates months away. I don't really think 3 weeks is that big of a deal. I appreciate Will's release timelines and announcements. He never leaves us without any information for longer than a couple of months.

To be fair though, Rothfuss and Martin have basically been saying the same thing "you'll get it when you get it". There isn't any hype/trolling going on. I personally have chuckled at these posts; but I understand how giving a big count down through book covers, and then not even releasing Underlords book cover... Yeah I can understand some feelings of frustration there.

Except the ridiculous delays by GRRM and PR have everything to do with them selling out for tv/movie money. I can’t hate them for looking out for themselves but you have to admit that it is a shit way to treat fans especially to then basically say, “ROFLstomped, deal with it.”

Very excited for underlord.....,but ( and i hope this isn't taken offensively) what the hell?? It seems that OKAK has been skipped twice in a row. I know Cradle is popular and i do like the series and I will read underlord, but is there any news about this amazing other book series we were promised so long ago D:?!?!?

It's to be expected. Cradle is 10x easier to write and wins the favor of 10x as many fans. That's why it gets more of Will's time.

You know, at first I was upset that the post seemed to not contain real book news, then happy, because, well, Hamilton is awesome, and glad Will gets to see it. Then I was sad again, because no new books news, then again happy in the post script.

Another classic Will Wight emotional thriller. Sated until March 1st. 4.5/5 would recommend to a friend.

Come to think of it, if that is Dross, then it would be after Lindon found him, but before Dross got ihis eye and pseudo- arms. Also, I reread part of Ghostwater and see that Dross is purple. So I retract my question about that being Dross on the cover.

I recently read a great novel called The Forest and its sequel Pale Green Dot. Unfortunately the author has basically said he’s not going to finish the trilogy for a few years. So glad will isn’t pulling that.

Will has said that when he finishes the Elder Empire, he will return to the Traveler's Gate sequel trilogy called the Traveler's Blade. These will release faster as they are easier to write than Elder Emprie given the dual nature.

Thank you so much for getting these books out so quickly, Will. I've been a huge cradle fan since the first chapter of Unsouled. I recently have bought copies of the books for my nephew and it's given us something to talk about. According to his parents, my nephew even starts conversations with strangers, telling them about the books.

Thank you also for releasing these so quickly. I aplappreci how involved you are with your fans.

Also, I hope you enjoy Hamilton. You deserve a great night out.
