The Last Day of the Year

Boy, it's been a full year!

We started off with Threshold, continued with The Pilot, and ended with the Unsouled + Soulsmith animatic. We also went to more conventions than we normally do, adding MegaCon, Dragonsteel Nexus, and the animatic premiere onto our normal DragonCon event.

On top of that, there were a lot of things we worked on this year that I can't talk about publicly yet, but I'm continuing work on my new book, the fusion of Elder Empire, and I'll be resuming work on The Commander in just a few weeks.

All that might not sound like a lot to you, but it's been one of my busier years ever. I've spent a lot of time away from home this year, and it feels like the intensity just keeps ramping up.

Which is awesome! It's so cool to look back over the year and think of all the fans I got to meet. Honestly, the animatic premiere was a big highlight for me. And it gave me great pleasure to spy on all your reactions to the animatic online.

Safe to say that, anytime you watched it, I was in the corner watching you watching it. And some of you noticed me, so you were watching me watching you watching the animatic. Watchception.

I published my first book in June 2013, so 2025 was my 12th year of being an author!

Thanks for twelve years, and I hope you enjoy what we've got for you in 2026!

Elder empire will forever be my favorite. Shera > all. She knows exactly who she is and tries to understand the rest of us, even though it doesn't always work to well.

Hi, i only resently came in contact with the cradle series and absolutely love it. Sadly i wasnt able to be part of the kickstarter when it startet. Will the animatic Movie be released to the masses and if so, when will we be able to watch it? - Wish you a wonderfull 2026

Wait, WAIT. Will, what does that comma mean? Is your new book the EE Fusion thing, or is this a whole new series? Also, what on earth is this 'fusion of Elder Empire?' I've never heard of it before, have you announced it previously?

I'm working on writing a book, and after ironing out the skeleton of details and worldbuilding I keep realizing how much of an undertaking it is.

How do you stay focused on your projects? Do you find yourself with days where you didn't write because you didn't feel like it?

Hey Will, how many physical copies of books have you sold? Average weight of a book is around five ounces, so you'd only need to have sold around 14,000 in order to have literally sold TONS of books.
