After ten weeks of sale, City of Light just hit 20,000 sales! They grow up so fast, don't they? This is actually a significant plateau. When people are talking about book sales, 20,000 is a big milestone. So thanks again, everybody! We're going strong!
Is that a suggestion? Are you trying to mesmerize me into continuing my Fantastic Four fanfic?
What? No! Don't be silly! The suggestion is trying to mesmerize you into writing an actually good Fantastic Four Movie! Also, is that 20,000 digital books? Or 20,000 books from which the paper is made from Hanging Trees?
I just finished a City of Light last night. What an awesome book. I loved it. You are an amazing writer. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Christian! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, big fan here... Do you have any future plans for compiling the 9 short stories form the Chronicles into a single small paperback? That would be overkill and awesome!
Sorry I took so long to respond, Javier! Crazy month: I just put up a post about it.
Anyway, I would like to compile the 9 Chronicles short stories into a single ebook, for sure. As for one paperback...I don't know. I've discussed it with THE TEAM, but I haven't made a full decision yet.
Wil there be some more with Simon going to find the other dragon fangs ? I've just read all 3 books back to back and its left me wanting more...one of my upmost favourite fantasy trilogies
Yes, there will be more Simon! Absolutely!
Just not immediately. I want to get this new series rolling first, and then I'll flip back and forth between the new series, Traveler's Gate stuff, and maybe some other new stuff. We'll play that by ear.
Noticed A City of Light a few days ago. Needless to say from Saturday night to early Tuesday morning I sat down and read them all. I have way too much positive things to say about your series. I enjoyed it alot. I would like to say now though is that my favorite part of this series is the very last page of A City of Light, where you promise more frm Simon's universe. I hope to see this soon and I will check out your new series when I see it on kindle. Good luck mate.
Will, I love the story-building you created with the series. Keep it up an I hope to see the great new additions in the future!
Thanks, Pierre! I hope you enjoy the next series just as much!
It has come to my attention that there is no tv-tropes page for this series. Can someone remedy that?
Man, someone needs to. TVTropes eats my life.
Does the House of Blades paperback have the updated chapters? I want to buy all of them, but I was wondering if the first one did or not. Thanks if you can answer this.
Sorry I just saw this, Cam. It's been a crazy month.
NO, the HoB paperback does not have the updated chapters yet. I'm working on that right now.
I was supposed to have that up by now, but then my friend died. True story. Really threw me off.
I am ok with waiting, as long as the world doesn't end. Just let me know. Sorry, about your loss.
I originally purchased HoB on a whim as it was cheap and had decent reviews. It then spent some time languishing in the digital library confines of my Kindle. After reading it, then the next two books, and all the novellas I would like to congregate you on crafting such an interesting world. I particularly enjoyed the novella which briefly peaked into Simon's life from Leah's perspective. It was great to see this other side of him after reading through the trilogy. Well done on a great book and sales.
House of Blades loves to languish. It's a languisher.
Thanks for giving me a shot!
Wow, I have to admit that when I saw the hob as a recomendation on my Kindle app I was apprehensive. It is very hard for me to find a book that not only piques my interest but also captures me. That is why I consistently reread the same books over and over and over again. I was hooked as soon as Indirial showed up in the first chapter and just finished the series today. Took me 3 days to read them all. Fantastic fantasy Will. Thank you for inviting me into your world and allowing me to partake in such an adventure. I will be adding these to my reread list! I also cannot wait to see what happens to Simon, when you next decide to open those doors. Thank you again and best wishes on your own adventure!
Thanks, Ric! I'm glad you enjoyed House of Blades so much!
And I fully understand the apprehension. I'm often apprehensive about shady-looking series myself.
I love this series! I dearly hope you write a follow-up series to this trilogy! Very good and continue writing!
I'm not done with Simon yet! I just need a while to get a new ball rolling.
The lack of updates on this website is disturbing, are you in a coma will?
You have odd timing, Mesmer. Refresh the blog.
Grats on the success and hitting milestones. Great job on the series.
I want more Kai stories, please consider a novel devoted to him at some point, telling his history, it may be enough for me to forgive you for what you did to him. :)
Whew! What a great series. I think I read them all in a week, just finished CoL a few hours ago. I started to panic... who is this Will Wight? Will he be writing more books? Does he already have more published aside from the trilogy? You've got me hooked. I'm more excited for your next series than the next GoT book, or Sanderson's sequel to Words of Radiance. It seems like you began your serious writing career recently, you'll rise to the top in no time. Your sense of style, humor, and imagination make for a captivating read. Keep it up - eagerly anticipating your next release - Tyler
